Operate and monitor a 450MW natural gas power plant in the Phoenix metro via distributed control systems. Respond to grid events, coordinate with the ERCOT grid operator. Shift work (7-on/7-off rotating). Competitive overtime once trained.
Full training for those without power plant experience. Previous operators have come from refineries, process plants, and the military.
Engineering degree or 2+ years in an industrial operations environment (power plant, refinery, chemical, military). Comfortable with process control systems. Willingness to work rotating shifts.
