We're running horizontal wells across the Bakken and we need engineers who can learn fast and work hard in the field. We take people with engineering or technical degrees and put them through a 12-month drilling engineer trainee program. You'll spend the first 6 months on the rig floor rotating with the crew — learning the hardware, the mud, the casing — before moving into the office to plan the next well. Compensation is strong and rotations are paid.
Engineering or technical degree (any discipline). Ability to pass a background check and work in the field. Willingness to spend time on location in North Dakota. Petroleum engineering degree is NOT required.
