Central Plains Generation operates a combined-cycle gas power plant in Iowa. We're hiring control room operators — no power plant experience required. You'll monitor plant systems from the control room, respond to alarms, coordinate with field crews, and ensure safe and efficient operation of a 550MW facility. We'll sponsor your NERC certification (System Operator Certification) and you'll earn it within your first year. Starting pay is $105k with shift premiums and overtime opportunities. After certification, top operators are at $140k+. This is a clean, climate-controlled environment with better hours than most industrial jobs.
